Sunset on Lake Pontchartrain is a sight to behold! You won’t find many that aren’t glorious. On this tour we’ll drive from the French Quarter through the Treme and see some historic mansions on the way. We’ll then make our way along historic Bayou St. John stopping off at a few different spots to do some nature observation and you’ll learn a little history about the city. 

The tour will then make it’s way along the shores of Lake Pontchartrain and the levees on it’s a way to a small nature reserve and marsh in the historic Bucktown neighborhood. Along the way we’ll see exotic birds like great blue herons and yellow crowned night herons, egrets, purple martins, anhingas, ibis, mallards, whistling ducks and more! We’ll see jumping mullets leaping from the water and if we are lucky we might spot a gator or 2!
